Culture Shift Foundation (501(c)(3)) and Culture Shift Advisors, Inc. ("we," "us," or "our") respect your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information.
Assessment Data. When you complete the Community Impact Assessment, we collect the information you provide — including your name, email, income type, community of interest, and impact priorities. This information is used to generate your personalized report and to understand aggregate patterns in community investment interests.
Contact Information. When you contact us, subscribe to the Impact Index™, or request services, we collect your name, email address, phone number (if provided), and the content of your communication.
Usage Data. We collect standard web analytics data — pages visited, time on site, browser type, and general geographic location. We do not sell this data. We use it to improve our website and understand how people find and engage with our content.
We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not share your information with advertisers. We do not use your data to train AI models. We do not retain assessment data beyond what is necessary for service delivery and legal compliance.
When we collect data about communities (not individuals) as part of our Community Transformation Rating™ assessments, we follow a community data sovereignty framework. Community organizations and residents retain ownership and governance rights over neighborhood-level data. We publish aggregated findings only with community approval and co-authorship where applicable.
We use industry-standard security measures to protect your information, including encrypted transmission (HTTPS), secure data storage, and access controls. No system is perfectly secure, but we take data protection seriously given the sensitivity of the financial and community information our clients share with us.
Our website uses cookies for basic functionality and analytics. We use Google Analytics to understand traffic patterns — this data is aggregated and anonymized. You can disable cookies in your browser settings. Disabling analytics cookies will not affect your ability to use the assessment or access content.
You have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, request corrections, request deletion, and opt out of communications at any time. To exercise these rights, contact us at privacy@cultureshiftfoundation.org.
We retain client engagement records as required for nonprofit compliance and financial record-keeping (typically 7 years). Assessment data from non-clients is retained for 12 months unless you request earlier deletion. Newsletter subscribers are retained until unsubscribed.
Our services are designed for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from individuals under 18. If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a minor, contact us immediately at privacy@cultureshiftfoundation.org.
We may update this policy as our services evolve. Material changes will be communicated via email to active subscribers and posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance.
